Time to celebrate

After a brilliant career as university professor, our esteemed colleague Hans U. Gerber tried to retire in September 2008. His retirement lasted less than twenty-four hours. At the dawn of 2009, Hans is again giving it a try. Will he succeed?

We invite you to come at the beginning of June to see by yourself. No matter the result, we'll celebrate Hans with a myriad of talks of actuarial and financial flavors, generously seasoned with mathematics. Since Hans has a very wide range of research interests, no doubt that he will be delighted.

Well, we still don't know if Hans has really retired. Anyway, we had a great time at the University of Lausanne on 2-3 June 2009. More than 80 persons participated to the scientific part of the conference. We were about a hundred for the social and the entertaining events. Many thanks to all Hans's friends who came and to our sponsors.
